DO YOUR CHARACTERS TALK?
With the exception of some of our Mascot Style costumes, all of our characters speak and interact in character.
WHAT CAN I EXPECT WITH A REAL HERO PARTY?
Your requested character will arrive at your location in costume and ready to entertain within 5 minutes of your requested time. He or she will have all they need to play your selected games, do crafts, and engage the children throughout your event according to the number of expected guests listed on your party plan. We will communicate regularly with you from the time of your initial booking request right up to the day of the party to help ensure that your party will be exactly what you're hoping for!
HOW FAR IN ADVANCE SHOULD I BOOK?
You can book your event as early as you wish! Some choose to book their events 4-6 months in advance, while others prefer to wait until 1-2 months before the event. Booking earlier is more likely to result in being able to book your desired character, time, and date without conflict, so we encourage you to book as early as possible. Booking requests received within 7 days of the event will incur a late booking fee. Late booking fees are a minimum of $25 and vary based on the desired character, number of characters, distance to the event, and length of time between the request and the event date.
WHAT IS THE MILEAGE FEE TO MY LOCATION?
Our mileage fees are calculated based on the distance from our office location in Fort Worth, TX (76180 Zip Code) or Lubbock, TX for our West Texas location. If you are located more than 20 miles from our headquarters, there will be a mileage fee for your event. You may calculate your own mileage fee by using the chart here, or simply fill out our Book Now form and you will be informed of any applicable mileage surcharges shortly.
WHAT CHARACTERS DO YOU OFFER?

If you do not see the character you would like for your event, please contact us and we will see if we can accommodate your request! Special orders can take 4-8 weeks, so make your request early and we will gladly create a custom party to fit your theme!
DO YOU OFFER VILLAINS?
While many character companies offer a wide array of costumed characters, Real Hero Parties is committed to staying true to our vision as a hero character party company. We offer several hero favorites and are always adding new characters. We do not, however, offer the villains that plague our dear heroes' lives. DO YOU OFFER MASCOT COSTUMES?
We offer very few mascot costumed characters, and mascot characters must be booked with an attendant. Not all mascot characters are pictured on our website, so please contact us to ask about booking mascot characters. If we do not have your character, we may be able to get the character or direct you to a company that does.
WHAT DO I NEED TO SUPPLY FOR THE PARTY?
We will bring everything needed for the games and crafts as discussed prior to the booking date. All you need to supply is a location, and sometimes a table and chairs for tattoo-application or crafts. If there's a game you'd love to have played at your party that is outside of our party plan list, please let us know! We love to work with parents to make each party unique and fun for your child! Our goal for you while our hero is there is to sit back, relax, and enjoy the party.
DO YOUR ENTERTAINERS ACCEPT TIPS?
While our contractors are well-paid for their positions, gratuities are allowed and encouraged if you've received exceptional service. If you have two or more entertainers at your event, any gratuity will be split evenly between them. If you need to use your credit card to leave a tip, don't hesitate to contact us and we will help get that processed!
DO YOU OFFER FACE PAINTING, PROFESSIONAL PHOTOGRAPHY, DECORATING SERVICES, BALLOON ANIMALS, BOUNCE HOUSES, ETC?
At Real Hero Parties, we want to stick to what we do best -- Entertaining! Therefore, we do not offer all of these additional services. If you are in need of a face painter, ballon artist, or photographer, you can add those onto our packages. However if you need a party planner, a decorator, a bakery, bounce house, event rental service, or event location, please contact us and we will be happy to give you our recommendations from a list of our trusted vendors.
DO YOU OFFER ANY DISCOUNTS?
Our pricing already has many discounts built in. For example, rather than paying a flat hourly rate per character, our rates are discounted automatically when you add additional time or character entertainers. We also have a discount built into our add-on price for balloon twisters and face painters when they are booked with a costumed character. In addition to our already great rates, we offer a Real Hero discount of 10% off package pricing to families of military & first responders as our way of saying "Thank You for all you do!"
CAN I MAKE CHANGES TO A PACKAGE I'VE ALREADY BOOKED?
Yes! We ask that changes be made as far in advance as possible in order to prevent scheduling conflicts, but we are happy to change the activities, add time to the party package, add a second performer, or change the time altogether if we are able to do so. All changes are subject to availability.
HOW WILL I PAY MY REMAINING BALANCE? DO YOU TAKE PAYMENTS?
You will have access to a client portal upon booking that will contain a link to your invoice. A 50% deposit is due in order to secure the time and date you wish to reserve for your event. After that, you may make payments at your convenience. You will receive an email about a week before your party, confirming all of the party details. This email will also include your invoice with your balance due. The invoice will have a link to pay online, or you can pay with cash at the party.
I'M PLANNING TO HAVE BOTH BOYS AND GIRLS AT MY PARTY. DO YOU HAVE ANYTHING TO ENTERTAIN THE GIRLS?
All of our games are fairly gender-neutral and are enjoyed by boys and girls alike! Our Create-Your-Own Superhero craft comes with male and female options by request, and we offer female heroes in addition to our male characters! Want something a little more girly? Why not add a singing princess from our sister company, Royally Fun Parties and really thrill your guests?!
SOMETHING CAME UP. CAN I RESCHEDULE MY PARTY?
We understand that life can be unpredictable at times! In the event of inclement weather or personal emergency, we will be happy to work with you to reschedule your event for another time and date. Cancellations, however, will be handled on a case-by-case basis. Your deposit is refundable up to 14 days prior to the event. All changes are subject to availability.
IS THERE A LIMIT ON THE NUMBER OF CHILDREN AT MY PARTY?
The only limit is your space! We are happy to accommodate any reasonable number of children at every event. Please note, however, that our packages are booked by the amount of time that will be spent on location, and more children will usually mean fewer activities. If you plan to have more than 10-12 children at your event, we recommend adding additional characters to ensure that we are able to fit all of the entertainment into your party time! Regardless of how many children will be attending, please be sure to give us an accurate count ahead of time so that we can ensure that your entertainer has a proper amount of party materials! If your event will have 20-25+ children in participation, know that our games are not designed to be played on that scale and we will need to discuss alternative entertainment for your event.
WHAT MAKES REAL HERO PARTIES DIFFERENT FROM OTHER CHARACTER COMPANIES?
There are certainly many differences, but the most notable difference is the attention to excellence and safety. Some 'character companies' are actually booking agencies. They receive your request and post the gig on Craigslist, where any person with a costume can accept the party and show up at your house. At Real Hero Parties, we provide high quality character costumes to our fully background checked cast members, so the biggest qualifiers for our entertainers are being fun, safe, and great with kids!
HOW DO I KNOW THIS IS SAFE?
Real Hero Parties is locally owned and operated, meaning we have had the opportunity to personally interview, vet, and train each entertainer before we ever send them to an event.

I RUN A BOOKING AGENCY AND I WANT TO BOOK UNDER MY NAME. CAN I HAVE A DISCOUNT?
As a team, we always prefer to err on the side of transparency with our customers. For this reason, we prefer not to work with booking agents who may or may not follow our policies or share our values. In rare instances, we will make exceptions to work with trusted booking agencies, however a surcharge will apply to any events that do not allow us to pass on our company information to or communicate with the end customer. We feel that these policies offer the best protection to our company, our brand, our entertainers, and the end customer.
WHAT'S THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN BOOKING REAL HERO PARTIES AND BOOKING A COSPLAYER?
We absolutely LOVE cosplay, cosplayers, and the cosplay community. In fact, some of our entertainers cosplay and work with volunteer agencies that bring cosplayers to charity events and hospitals. The biggest difference between a cosplayer and a Real Hero Parties entertainer is character accuracy. Cosplay has an emphasis on fun, creativity, and body positivity - which we, too, are huge fans of! But our goal at Real Hero Parties is to ensure that when we send out our characters to events, we are using entertainers who can embody screen accuracy in attitude, costuming, and appearance.
I AM HAVING A CHARITY EVENT. CAN YOU MAKE A DONATION OR SEND VOLUNTEERS?
There are many charities which are near and dear to our hearts at Real Hero Parties, and each year we choose several events to be a part of on a volunteer or discounted basis. If you would like to submit your event for consideration, you may do so using the BOOK NOW button at the top of this page, and selecting the appropriate booking type. This process includes vetting the charity so that we can determine need and ensure that the donated events are truly ones who could not have us out otherwise.
